He wanted to watch a horror show, not have a horrific movie experience.

A man was disgusted by a fellow moviegoer who decided to put his bare feet up on the back of a seat at Golden Village (GV) Yishun on Oct 27.

Stomper Lewis told Stomp that he had booked tickets to watch Five Nights at Freddy's, a supernatural horror film based on the video game series and franchise of the same name.

However, the real horror he experienced was having to witness and smell the other man's feet.

"I felt disgusted because he showed his feet for free," he said.

"His feet were super smelly."

This is not the first time moviegoers have been spotted behaving inappropriately at GV cinemas.

Last year, a man was seen making himself too comfortable at GV Suntec City.

Earlier this year, a patron was seen recording a movie with their phone at GV Plaza Singapura.

In July 2020, a Stomper saw a fellow moviegoer putting his bare feet on a cinema seat at GV Junction 8.

A GV spokesman told Stomp in response to the 2020 incident: "Since 2015, Golden Village has run several cinema etiquette campaigns through pre-show screen advertisements reminding our patrons to be considerate to other movie-goers in movie theatres.

"We currently showcase a number of recent cinema etiquette videos on GV screens by the Singapore Kindness Movement.

"Patrons who encounter any inappropriate behaviour in GV cinemas are advised to alert or seek the assistance of staff or manager on duty."
