Smart attire, but ugly behaviour.

A cinemagoer was appalled by the way two men were seated in a cinema hall at Golden Village VivoCity on the afternoon of Feb 2.

Stomper Max said he had gone to watch Money No Enough 3 when the incident occurred.

He recounted: "I saw these two well-dressed men sitting disgracefully in the cinema.

"No staff stopped them and there were around less than 15 patrons in the whole theatre that day."

Photos that Max shared show one of the men slouching with his feet propped up on the seat in front of him. His companion appeared to have his legs crossed.

Max added: "This is very disgusting and disgraceful."

This is not the first time Stompers have spotted fellow cinemagoers exhibiting such ugly behaviour.

Stomper Lewis was horrified when he saw and smelled a man's bare feet at GV Yishun in November 2023, while Stomper Tommy was left uneasy by a man making himself too comfortable at GV Suntec City in August 2022.

In July 2020, Stomper Joe saw a patron propping his bare feet up on a seat at GV Bishan and reported the matter to staff.

A GV spokesman told Stomp in response to the 2020 incident: "Since 2015, Golden Village has run several cinema etiquette campaigns through pre-show screen advertisements reminding our patrons to be considerate to other movie-goers in movie theatres.

"We currently showcase a number of recent cinema etiquette videos on GV screens by the Singapore Kindness Movement.

"Patrons who encounter any inappropriate behaviour in GV cinemas are advised to alert or seek the assistance of staff or manager on duty."
