A hawker stall at Fernvale Hawker Centre & Market has ruffled some feathers after apparently serving a customer only three pieces of breast meat in her chicken rice.

Stomper Shuhui said she visited Tong Fong Fatt Hainanese Boneless Chicken Rice on Jan 28, at around 6pm, and ordered chicken thigh meat.

The packet of rice cost her $4.

According to Shuhui, her experience had been a poor one from the very start, even before she looked at her food.

The Stomper recounted: "I was at the stall and instantly noticed that the uncle at the counter did not wear his mask and was constantly coughing into customers' food.

"Before it was my turn to order, I witnessed him screaming Hokkien vulgarities at another elderly.

"I ordered chicken thigh and paid $4 but when I reached home and open my packet of food, I saw that I had been given only three pieces of breast meat.

"I returned to the stall to reason with the uncle, but he shouted at me and challenged me to report to the police."

Shuhui said she looked up the stall on Google reviews, where it has a 1.5 rating and similar complaints from other diners.

One reviewer had even referred to the stall's uncle as "the infamous Mr Grumpy".

Shuhui added: "I realised that the stall has garnered only 1.5 stars out of 5, with many customers expressing the same about that rude, unprofessional and aggressive counter uncle.

"The counter uncle is notorious in the entire Fernvale Hawker Centre & Market and he had had many altercations with people in the past.."
