We're living in 2017 -- but this guy is already in 3012

Every once in a while, we come across people who try their hand at innovating -- only to fail big time.

That was apparently what happened to a pillion rider who wore his helmet in shall we say, a rather unconventional manner.

Stomper Edwin alerted Stomp to photos of the individual that was posted by netizen Syed Subrie Arab on Facebook.

Based on the photos, the pillion rider had placed his head through the opening of the helmet that the visor usually covers.

His face was at the opening where his neck should rightly be.

Judging from the images, the helmet did not have a visor for some reason, which might have prompted the pillion rider to take things into his own hands, or shall we say, his own head.

The photos have since garnered over 250 reactions and nearly 1,600 shares since they were published on Sep 23.

Wrote the netizen who came across the bizarre sight:

"I only thought these things exist in movies but today I see live."

A comment on the photos left by Facebook user 'Marcus Lai' aptly read:

"This guy living in 3012 while we living in 2017."
