Jurong-Clementi Town Council and the National Environment Agency (NEA) are working together to identify the person who has been strewing litter around Block 409 Jurong West Street 42.

Stomper Casey alerted Stomp to the matter and shared photos of various pieces of rubbish on the ground surrounding the block as well as items including a worn-out mop, newspaper and plastic bags in trees in the area.

"These trees and surrounding areas are littered with rubbish thrown from above," he said.

He added he has made numerous complaints to the town council and NEA on the "irresponsible, anti-social behaviour" of the resident or residents doing this.

In response to a Stomp query, a spokesman from Jurong-Clementi Town Council said: "The town council had been monitoring the situation and we are working with NEA to see if we could identify the culprit.

"Meanwhile, we have issued [an] advisory to the residents not to litter and our cleaners have tidied up the area."
