No regard for traffic... or his own life: Schoolboy sprints through busy road to catch bus

We all know the feeling of rushing to catch the bus to avoid a long wait for the next one.

But to risk our – and other people's – lives while doing so?

A student was caught on camera rushing haphazardly across a busy four-lane road in Woodlands on March 7, at around 5.56pm.

Facebook page SG Road Vigilante - SGRV posed a video showing the schoolboy dashing out from one bus stop and sprinting to catch bus service 913 on the other side of the road.

The boy is not even halfway across the road when the traffic light turns green for vehicles, which start moving off.

He narrowly avoids a taxi that manages to brake in time, before continuing to run towards his destination.

Many netizens said the boy had a lucky escape, but hoped that his parents could see the video and "teach him a good lesson".
