A video of a near-accident has left netizens – and likely the parties involved – very confused.

Stomper Lau Lau alerted Stomp to the incident, which occurred along Pasir Ris Drive 1 on Jan 2.

In the video posted by Facebook page Beh Chia Lor - Singapore Road on Jan 7, a female pedestrian can be seen dashing across the road.

However, she had to "jump out of the way for her life to avoid (a) driver zooming through (the) red light" mid-run.

While she narrowly avoided getting knocked down by the car, her bag was not so lucky and she is seen retrieving it from the floor.

It should be noted that there were ongoing road works at the scene and a worker can be seen holding up a green 'GO' sign, which likely added to the confusion.

The Facebook video caption asked: "Who would be wrong/right in this situation?"

Reactions from netizens have been mixed.

One said the worker would have overridden the red light, but another pointed out that he was "standing totally at the wrong position".

Some blamed the driver for not paying enough attention, while a different user commented: "No matter what, it is dangerous to dash across when there is a approaching vehicle!"

Perhaps this netizen worded it best:

What do you think?
