Motorcyclist and pillion rider sent sprawling on ground after car crashes into them

A woman was taken to hospital after an accident involving a motorcycle and a car outside Canberra MRT station on Sunday night (Mar 15).

The police were alerted to the accident at the junction of Canberra Link and Canberra Way at 8.35pm, they told Stomp in response to queries.

A video posted on Facebook shows the car crashing into the motorcycle, which also carried a pillion rider, at a red light.

The motorcyclist and his rider can be seen getting flung off the motorcycle.

The 23-year-old pillion rider was conscious when taken to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.

Police investigations are ongoing.
