A 59-year-old man was arrested for his suspected involvement in a case of robbery with hurt at Toa Payoh.
The police said in a statement that they received a report from a victim on Saturday (Mar 20) at 2.18pm who alleged that he had been assaulted and robbed of $210 in cash by an unknown man along Lorong 6 Toa Payoh.
Officers from Tanglin Police Division established the identity of the 59-year-old man and arrested him within four hours of the report.
The man will be charged in court on Monday (Mar 22) with robbery with hurt.
The offence carries a jail term of between five years and 20 years, and at least 12 strokes of the cane.
