Man looking for 'most polite and gentle' long-lost buddy as life is short

With life passing by in a blink, what unfulfilled wishes are on your list?

For 68-year-old Stomper John, he hopes to reconnect with a long-lost friend whom he knew in the 1960s.

John is looking for Mr Chia Heok Hwa, who he estimates to be around 69 years old now.

John and Mr Chia were among a group of five friends who went to school at:

• Mountbatten Primary School (1960-1965)

• St. Patrick Secondary School (1966-1969)

• Tanjong Katong Technical High School (1966-1969)

John told Stomp: "I am first guy from the left, wearing light-coloured trousers with no belt. I am looking for my long-lost buddy from our school days in the 60s, the handsome guy sitting in front.

"Mr Chia is the most polite, gentle, well-mannered and courteous person ever. We lost touch with him after we started working, but the remaining four of us are still in contact.

"We really miss him. Our golden years are short while life is unpredictable, so we hope to reunite with him.

"This is the only treasured and precious black-and-white photo we have together."
