A Stomper alerted Stomp to a video of a scuffle between two police officers and a man at the void deck of Block 210A Bukit Batok Street 21 at about 12pm on Monday (Jul 30).

The Stomper said that the video was taken by his friend, whom Stomp later spoke to to get more information.

According to the Stomper's friend, she was on the way home when she saw the tussle.

In an eight-second video shared by the Stomper, the two officers are seen struggling with the man as they tried to subdue him.

The man is seen on top of the male officer, while the latter pressed a hand against his back.

The female officer then attempts to handcuff the man, while trapping him beneath her knees.

The Stomper's friend, who compared the scuffle to a mixed martial arts (MMA) fight, said: "I first saw them about a metre away.

"I filmed them because I felt that the police officers were really brave."

Feeling slightly scared, she stopped filming the video soon after.

In response to a Stomp query, a police spokesman said:

"On July 30, 2018 at 12.03pm, the police were patrolling at Block 210A Bukit Batok Street 21 when they conducted checks on a 41-year-old man, who was behaving suspiciously.

"The man was subsequently arrested for suspected drug-related offences and was referred to the Central Narcotics Bureau.”
