Incense paper was strewn all over the void deck of Block 76 Telok Blangah Drive on early Tuesday morning (Sept 13), leaving cleaners to clear them up.

Stomper A came across the unsightly and inconsiderate act at around 4am and shared photos.

The Stomper, who said the incense paper was left behind after a wake, added: "I was so surprised to see this on my way home. Isn't it also considered littering?

"It's true that we have to respect one other but this is too much. Aren't we supposed to clean all our rubbish after our function, regardless of whether it's a wedding or funeral?

"Do our part as a responsible adult. This is shameful."

In response to a Stomp query, a spokesman for West Coast Town Council said it was alerted to the matter on Tuesday morning.

He added: "Our cleaners responded very quickly and cleared the area that same morning. This is the first time we have come across this issue and we believe it is a one-time occurrence.

"Nevertheless, the town council will remind all void deck booking applicants to ensure all items are cleared away after their function."
