Hit-and-run driver knocks down 62-year-old woman in Jurong, police investigating

Police are investigating an incident involving a car driver who was caught on camera knocking down a pedestrian.

Facebook user Wen Kai posted a video of the incident that occurred at the junction of Jurong Town Hall Road and Boon Lay Way on January 29, at around 11.35pm.

In the video, a white car can be seen making a turn when it collided with a woman who was crossing the road.

The car driver did not stop even though the impact caused the pedestrian to fall onto the road. Other men are seen going to her aid instead.

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to the hit-and-run accident at 11.45pm.

The 62-year-old female pedestrian was conscious when taken to hospital.

Police investigations are ongoing.
