Fire breaks out at bin centre in Jurong East

A fire broke out at a bin centre at Block 312 Jurong East Street 32 on Thursday morning (Oct 7).
Stomper Persis alerted Stomp to the incident and shared a video of firefighters extinguishing the fire.
Stomper Anonymous said he heard "cracking and small explosion sounds".
In response to a Stomp query, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said it was alerted to the fire at 9.50am.
The fire involved the contents of a rubbish collection truck, an SCDF spokesman said.
SCDF extinguished the fire using one water jet.
There were no reported injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
