A 25-year-old man was arrested after turning aggressive and assaulting two police officers during a check at Bukit Merah View last Friday afternoon (Sep 18).

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they conducted a check on a male driver at the open carpark of Block 119 Bukit Merah View at 12.02pm.

They added: "While two officers were checking on the man, the man became aggressive and assaulted both officers.

"The 25-year-old man was arrested for suspected drug-related offences, voluntarily causing hurt to deter a public servant from the discharge of his duty and possession of a stun device."

Stomper David and Randy alerted Stomp to a circulated video of the incident, showing police officers pinning down and restraining the suspect, who can be heard shouting repeatedly.

Police are investigating the incident.
