Deliveroo rider stops at Tampines junction to help elderly man on wheelchair across road

Instead of waiting for a wheelchair-bound man to finish crossing the road, a kind Deliveroo rider decided to step up and help him along.

The incident occurred at the traffic junction of Tampines Avenue 9 and Tampines Street 42.

According to the time-stamp on a video posted by ROADS.sg, the incident occurred on May 27, at around 8.20pm.

In the video submitted by a user known as Arsath Ali, the elderly man can be seen crossing the road and struggling to move his wheelchair along halfway through.

The Deliveroo rider then appeared to park his motorcycle by the roadside and went forward to help the old man.

"We salute you for your kind and commendable gesture, keep it up young man," wrote ROADS.sg in its post.
