Bus mangled in accident with truck in Ang Mo Kio, 5 taken to hospital

A 39-year-old bus driver and four bus passengers were taken to hospital after an SMRT bus got mangled in an accident with a truck on Tuesday (Sep 15).

Stomper Anonymous alerted Stomp about the incident that happened along Ang Mo Kio Avenue 1 towards Boundary Road and sent circulated photos of what happened.

In the photos, the windshield of the bus seems completely cracked, with the left side of the bus looking severely damaged.

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to the accident at 8.26am.

"The 39-year-old male bus driver and four bus passengers, aged between 25 and 64, were conscious when conveyed to Tan Tock Seng Hospital," said a police spokesman 

Police investigations are ongoing.
