Bus captain lauded for going the extra mile for elderly passengers

A Stomper was touched by the care and compassion displayed by an SMRT bus captain.

The Stomper said he boarded bus service 913 one night and witnessed the bus captain going the extra mile to help elderly passengers on wheelchairs board and exit the bus.

"I was so impressed by his actions," said the Stomper.

"He is so friendly and cheerful.

"Last week, I boarded bus service 912B from Woodlands Integrated Transport Hub and encountered the same bus captain!

"This time, I managed to take his photo.

"He greeted every passenger with a friendly 'hi' and smile.

"He even made sure the elderly were safely seated before moving off.

"Kudos to him for his top service! Keep it up!"
