68-year-old man arrested for allegedly molesting 10-year-old girl in Bedok

The police have arrested a 68-year-old man on Monday (June 17) for his suspected involvement in a case of outrage of modesty.

The police said in a statement that they received a report of a 10-year-old girl who was molested by an unknown man along Bedok North Street 1 on Friday (June 14) at about 3.50pm.

Through follow-up investigations and images from police cameras, officers from the Bedok Police Division established the identity of the man and arrested him.

Investigations are ongoing.

If convicted, the man could face a jail term of up to five years and/or caning and/or a fine.
