3 cars and taxi involved in accident along Jalan Bukit Merah, 49-year-old driver taken to hospital

A 49-year-old man was taken to hospital after an accident involving three cars and a taxi occurred along Jalan Bukit Merah on Tuesday morning (Dec 24).

Stomper Ong shared photos of the accident's aftermath that have been circulating on social media.

From the photos, two of the cars, including a BMW, are noticeably wrecked while debris can be seen on the ground.

Responding to a Stomp query, the police said: "On Dec 24 at 9.44am, the police were alerted to an accident involving three cars and a taxi along Jalan Bukit Merah towards Queensway.

"One of the car drivers, a 49-year-old man, was conscious when conveyed to Singapore General Hospital.

"Police investigations are ongoing."
