21-year-old man arrested for slashing guy with fruit knife at Ho Ching Road pavilion

A 21-year-old man slashed a 22-year-old victim at a pavilion beside Block 116 Ho Ching Road.

The police were alerted to the incident on Dec 30, 2018, at about 7.45pm.

Stomp understands that a fruit knife was used to slash the victim, who then suffered a cut on his left arm.

Officers from the Jurong Police Division established the identity of the man through investigations and arrested him on Jan 8.

The man will be charged in court today (Jan 10) with voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means under Section 324 of the Penal Code, Chapter 224.

If convicted, he can face up to seven years in jail, with fine or caning, or with any combination of such punishments.
