Residents in a Marsiling neighbourhood had an unusual visitor on Sunday morning (Apr 14).

Stomper Akbar spotted a two-metre-long python slithering around near Block 138 Marsiling Road.

He shared a video with Stomp of the snake where a police officer is at the scene.

"Please always look around even if you are walking in a known area," said Akbar.

In response to a Stomp media query, Mr Kalai Vanan, the Animal Concerns Research and Education Society's (ACRES) deputy chief executive officer, told Stomp the python was spotted moving across the carpark to the rubbish bin centre.

"The snake was subsequently rescued by two volunteers from the ACRES Wildlife rescue team," he said.
