A 2m-long snake attracted the attention of passers-by as it swam in the waters of a canal at Toa Payoh North on Tuesday morning (Mar 5).

Stompers Chong and Chito shared videos of the snake slithering in the drain.

In one of the videos, the snake is seen leaving the stream of water as people look on.

However, it isn't long before it returns to the water.

"I sighted this python swimming along the drainage canal near Singapore Press Holdings this morning at around 8.15am," said Chito.

"Some bystanders said this was the same python spotted last week."

Chong also told Stomp that he had noticed the same snake in the same canal the week before.
