18-year-old e-scooter rider sent skidding on road after getting hit by lorry at Bedok junction

An 18-year-old e-scooter rider was taken to hospital after getting hit by a lorry at the junction of Bedok North Road and Bedok North Avenue 1 on Thursday afternoon (March 28).

Several Stompers alerted Stomp to a circulated video of the collision, showing how it was raining at the time of the incident.

A man can be seen riding his e-scooter across the road when he is hit by a lorry.

The impact causes the rider to be flung off his e-scooter and he is sent skidding on the road for quite a distance.

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to the accident at 4.48pm.

The e-scooter rider was taken to Changi General Hospital.

Police investigations are ongoing.
