About 10 people were evacuated from the tenth and eleventh floors of Block 366 Bukit Batok Street 31 after a fire broke out in one of the units on Thursday afternoon (July 25).

Stomper Ahmad alerted Stomp to the fire and shared a video and photo taken at the scene.

In response to a Stomp query, the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) said that they responded to the fire at 12.55pm.

"The fire, which involved the contents of a tenth-floor storeroom, was extinguished by SCDF using one water jet," a spokesman said.

Among the 10 people evacuated, two were occupants of the affected unit.

There were no reported injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation.

At least six fires have broken out at HDB blocks in Singapore this month, including a personal mobility device-related fire in Bukit Batok. A man died in hospital after trying to rescue his pets from the burning flat.
