The damaged fan blade that caused creaking sounds in the lift at Block 80A Lorong Toa Payoh has been replaced, said Bishan-Toa Payoh Town Council in a statement.
A Stomper was taking the lift on Monday (Oct 12) at 2pm when he noticed the creaking sounds and shared a video of what he heard.
"This is so scary," said the Stomper.
"I am not a resident at this block so I have yet to inform the town council about this."
In response to a Stomp query, a spokesman for Bishan-Toa Payoh Town Council said that their lift conductor has promptly conducted checks on the lifts on Tuesday (Oct 13).
"We found that the noise was due to a broken fan blade of Lift B's in-car exhaust fan and replaced the damaged fan blade immediately," added the spokesman.
"We have done another check on both lifts at Block 80A Lorong 4 Toa Payoh on Wednesday morning (Oct 14) and confirm that they are functioning well."
