Driver helps wheelchair-bound elderly man to cross road during downpour at Toa Payoh

A driver proved not all heroes wear capes when he stopped his car to get out into the rain and help an elderly man in a wheelchair in Toa Payoh on Sep 5.

Stomper Meng alerted Stomp to the kind act and shared a video he took at the junction of Lorong 4 Toa Payoh and Toa Payoh Central at about 1.15pm.

In the video, the man is seen pushing the elderly man across the road before running back to his car in the pouring rain. He had stopped his vehicle at the traffic light.

"This man stopped in the middle of the road to help an uncle in a wheelchair cross the road on a rainy day," said the Stomper.

"We should praise this man.

"He's a good Samaritan."
