A python joined residents on their morning exercise routine in Jurong West on Thursday (Mar 27).
A Stomper spotted the snake near a drain at Block 666 Jurong West Street 65 at around 5.30am, when she was out on her morning jog.
She told Stomp: "Another jogger spotted it first and informed us as he did not bring his mobile phone out while running.
"The python was resting by a drain besides the running path."
The Stomper said she called the authorities to inform them about the reptile, but did not manage to wait till someone came down.
She added: "We joggers believe that we will surely spot our 'friendly' friend again."
Snakes are part of our biodiversity, and members of the public are advised to keep a safe distance and avoid provoking them.
