A lorry and a car collided at the Seletar West Link on the Seletar Expressway(SLE) towards the Central Expressway (CTE) on Wednesday (Feb 21) at around 2.26pm, with the lorry turning onto its side.

The incident was captured on the dashboard camera of Stomper Ah Kiat’s car, which was behind the two vehicles.

In the video which Ah Kiat sent to Stomp, both vehicles were seen changing to the right lane at almost the same time, and without warning.

The oncoming car crashes into the lorry, with both vehicles getting thrown onto the road shoulder.

The resulting impact also caused the lorry to flip over onto its side, and debris could be seen scattered onto the road.

Said Ah Kiat:

“I felt very shocked.

“I was worried whether the lorry driver was seriously injured and needed help. After that, I quickly sent a message to the police to inform them about the accident.”

In response to a Stomp query, a police spokesman said:

"On Feb 21, 2018, at 2.29pm, the police were alerted to an accident involving a car and a lorry along Seletar West Link towards Seletar North Link.

"The male car driver was conscious when he was conveyed to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.

"Police investigations are ongoing."
