Woman taken to hospital after accident involving 2 cars at Ghim Moh Road junction

A 47-year-old woman was taken to hospital after an accident involving two cars at the junction of Commonwealth Avenue West and Ghim Moh Road on Feb 29.

Stomper Gary alerted Stomp to the incident and shared with Stomp a video taken from his in-car camera of the moment of impact.

In the video, a white car is seen turning right as an oncoming car heading straight from the opposite direction collides into it.

The sound of crushing metal is heard and shortly after, the driver of the white car is seen exiting his vehicle to check on the other driver.

In response to a Stomp query, the police said they were alerted to the accident at about 7.37am.

"A 47-year-old female driver was conscious when conveyed to National University Hospital," a police spokesman said.

Police investigations are ongoing.
