Woman, 32, arrested for allegedly stealing 2 gold rings from Woodlands pawnshop

A 32-year-old woman has been arrested for allegedly stealing two gold rings from a pawnshop in Woodlands.

In a statement on Tuesday (Feb 22), the police said they received a report on Monday (Feb 21) at about 11.35am that two gold rings had been stolen from a pawnshop along Woodlands Street 31.

The woman was identified and arrested within hours of the report.

The rings were also recovered and seized as case exhibits.

Police investigations are ongoing.

The woman will be charged in court on Wednesday (Feb 22) with theft in dwelling.

The offence carries a jail term of up to seven years and a fine.
