It looked like some Queenstown residents had a great time celebrating Deepavali over the weekend, judging by the party items they brought along with them.

Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for cleaners who had to remove the rubbish left behind.

Photos taken by Stomper Jimmy on Monday (Nov 13), at around 6.30am, show the void deck of Block 165 Stirling Road littered with sparklers, plastic bags and trash.

Jimmy told Stomp: "Look at the block. People make until so messy after playing around on Deepavali, did not clean up and simply left it like that."

In response to a Stomp query, Tanjong Pagar Town Council thanked Jimmy for this feedback and added: "The litter was cleared on the same day."

Separately, Stomper Andrew echoed similar sentiments about an unsightly mess at Block 237 Hougang Street 21 on the same day.
