Why did the chicken cross the road at Tampines?

Stomper Mrs Syed was surprised to come across a chicken crossing the road while she was around the area of Tampines at about 5pm on Aug 30.

In a video she sent to Stomp via WhatsApp, the chicken appears to be a healthy, full-grown adult.

It was crossing at the entrance of a carpark, in front of the parking gantries.

It also seemed to not have a care in the world as it slowly skipped across the road, much to the amusement of the Stomper.

No cars were seen entering or leaving the carpark at the time of it crossing.

"I was quite shocked when I first saw it," Mrs Syed said to Stomp in a phone interview.

"Like back in the kampung days.

"It appeared lively and was nice to look at.

"This is my first time seeing such a thing at the area."

The exact location of the sighting is unclear.
