A van driver stopped his vehicle in the middle of the road to confront another driver for honking... but it turns out, he wasn't honking at him.

A Stomper shared that he was travelling along Bukit Batok East Avenue 5 on Jan 19 at about 10.06pm when the incident happened.

"The driver could not take a few honks that were not even directed at him," said the Stomper.

He explained that the story started two traffic lights back involving three vehicles, of which the Stomper's was the last.

"At the very first traffic light, I honked because the very first vehicle would not budge when the light turned green and moved extremely slowly such that I would not be able to cross," he said.

"At the second traffic light, I honked again because the very first vehicle exhibited the above identical behaviour/s.

"At the third traffic light, the second vehicle was very unhappy that I honked because I was right behind him so he decided to approach by filtering lane, stopping in the middle of the road to confront me as I came to a halt behind the very first vehicle."

The Stomper said the driver kept staring at him and wound down his window so he followed suit. The two drivers then started berating each other.

"His very purpose was to tell me to honk at the very first vehicle so that it would please him as he said that he did not know it was not directed at him regardless of how obvious it was."

"His staring continued and I guess he could not handle himself and came down to obstruct traffic and take a photo to justify his ego."
