A pedestrian was caught on camera turning aggressive after he was honked at for reckless behaviour on the road.

Stomper Lau Lau alerted Stomp a circulated video of the incident, which occurred at the carpark of Old Airport Road Food Centre on Jan 11.

In the video, a man can be seen stepping down from the kerb of a pavement and into the road. He is using his phone and appears oblivious to oncoming traffic behind him.

He turns around upon getting honked at and is visibly upset, raising both hands at the driver.

The man is later seen hitting the moving car and making aggressive gestures.

The video caption said: "Cross the road like nobody. After horn he not happy then chase owner's car and hit some more (sic)."

Many netizens have slammed the pedestrian, with several pointing out that it is better to be honked at than to be hit by the car.

One user even tagged the Singapore Police Force in his comment and added: "Really need to bring this person to road safety park for refresher on how not to get hit by cars. Make him raise hand look left and right until neck pain and cross the road 200 times so he remembers."
