Uncle riding PMA on the road in Little India is an accident waiting to happen

Despite a surge in the number of accidents involving personal mobility devices (PMD) in recent times, users continue to be caught behaving recklessly on public paths and roads.

Stomper Farhan was concerned to see a man riding his personal mobility aid (PMA) in the middle of the road in Little India on Monday (Nov 11).

Farhan, who submitted a video of the incident to Stomp and also posted it on Facebook, said this occurred along Tessensohn Road at around 1.40pm.

He told Stomp: "I felt so unsafe watching this uncle. He was in the middle of the road and narrowly avoided an accident with a lorry."

Under the Active Mobility Act, PMAs are not allowed on roads.
