A man and a woman were caught on camera jaywalking near Boon Keng MRT station on Monday morning (July 31).

Their reactions to Stomper Kelvin's oncoming car, however, have left the latter amused.

Kelvin said the incident occurred at around 10.41am.

In dashcam footage that he captured, the couple can be seen trying to dash across the road while holding hands.

However, Kelvin's oncoming car throws a spanner in the works.

The woman lets go of the man's hand, increases speed and continues to run to the other side of the road. The man does not follow and instead, walks in another direction.

Kelvin joked:

"Man: 'Tlil Death Do Us Part.'

"Women: 'Nope!'

Ouch. So much for 'through thick and thin' when you can't even get through traffic together.

However, the Stomper also shared the more serious side of things by pointing out: "I hope this serves as a reminder that many split decisions like this may have deadly repercussions.

"Imagine if I had taken the signal from the couple and assumed that they were stopping for me, only for me to take off and the lady decides to move forward. Or worse, motorists and vehicles on the first lane might not notice her in time."
