Two sisters are appealing for witnesses after their father died following a fall in a toilet at Singapore General Hospital (SGH).

One of the sisters told Stomp that her 81-year-old dad was at SGH Block 3 for a medical review on Nov 30, 2023.

"After seeing the doctor, he went to the gents at level 1, near the escalators and next to a closed pharmacy at around 3.25 to 3.35pm," she said.

"My sister went with him and waited for him outside the toilet.

"After a while, she heard a loud bang and rushed in immediately and found my dad on the floor."

The Stomper said that her sister then rushed out to get help and their dad was then quickly taken to the accident and emergency department.

"Unfortunately, he passed on," she said.

"He was 81 years old and walked very slowly.

"My sister recalled that someone in the toilet told her there was a collision when she rushed in but the priority was to save our father at that time.

"There were other men in the gents toilet who might have witnessed what happened so we are appealing for witnesses who were in the toilet at that time."

The Stomper added that she lodged a police report following the incident but the case has been closed because no foul play was suspected.

"My sister and I only want to know what happened inside the toilet."
