Stomper Shandy's family is looking for her 'Xiao Gu' (youngest aunt) after they lost contact almost three decades ago.

Ms Li Lianyin, who also goes by the nickname 'Ah Ye', was last in touch with her family at the funeral of Shandy's grandmother in Malaysia.

Shandy told Stomp: "My uncles in Malaysia only found a photo of my Xiao Gu yesterday (May 5) and immediately contacted me to seek help, in hopes that we can find her in Singapore. It's the only photo we have of her.

"I can't do it alone and hope friends can help me by asking around if any of your friends or relatives happen to know her.

"My Xiao Gu grew up in Taiping, Perak, and moved to Kluang after getting married, where she worked as a hawker.

"Our uncle (her husband) was a soldier based in Kluang back then. They have three sons and one daughter. The girl is the youngest.

"I understand from my third uncle that Xiao Gu was a hawker in Kluang before she moved to Singapore to work as a bus captain."

According to Shandy, her aunt's last known workplace is Toa Payoh Bus Interchange.

However, it is unlikely that she is still working in the industry as she currently is in her 70s.

Shandy said: "I hope everyone can help me ask if any of their friends or relatives who had worked in a bus company in the 80s, 90s, or early 2000s knew my Xiao Gu or her contacts.

"If you know my Xiao Gu, please help to tell her that we have been looking for her and all of us miss her. She is not alone and she still has us.

"Her siblings are already in their 80s and they hope to see her again soon."
