Sheng Siong notifies Stomp of dubious SMS about expiring points: 'We don't have point reward system'

Sheng Siong has notified Stomp that there has been another SMS going around which includes a reminder of expiring reward points and a link.

Sheng Siong has also confirmed with Stomp that they did not send out any texts informing the public of their win in a monthly draw.

It was previously reported that SMS notifications sent out by "Sheng Siong" had informed recipients that they have been chosen as a 2nd place winner in an October raffle.

In response to a Stomp query, a Sheng Siong spokesperson said: "These phishing texts informing the public of their win in a monthly draw are not send out by Sheng Siong.

"We have reported to the police and would like to caution the public not to proceed with the links in the SMS and make any card payments.

"Also, there has been another type of SMS informing the public of expiring points at Sheng Siong.

"We would like to alert the public that Sheng Siong has not rolled out any point reward system. Please do not click on the link.

"Lastly, we advise customers to only trust information shared on our official platforms. When in doubt, please seek clarification through the communication channels below.
