The traffic light is in favour of motorists heading towards the Ayer Rajah Expressway (AYE).

The boy manages to clear the first two lanes but just as he is about to reach the other side, he gets hit by an oncoming car.

The impact causes him to be flung a few metres down the road from the crossing.

The car comes to a stop as the boy sits up and appears to be in a daze.

In response to a Stomp media query, the police said they were alerted to an accident involving a car and a pedestrian along Lower Delta Road towards Telok Blangah Road at 9am.

Police investigations are ongoing.
