Rubbish bin catches fire in Tampines

A rubbish bin caught fire at the driveway of Block 856C Tampines Street 82 on Saturday afternoon (Apr 22).

Stomper Pinky shared a photo that shows passers-by and police officers putting out the blaze.

The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) told Stomp that it was alerted to the fire at around 4.55pm.

"Members of the public and the police extinguished the fire using a water hose and buckets of water," SCDF added.

There were no reported injuries and the cause of the fire is under investigation
