Rainwater leaks from MRT train window onto seat

Drip, drip, drip.

Rainwater leaking from an MRT train window pooled on a seat during a morning shower on July 20.

Stomper M shared a video showing a small puddle on an empty seat between two seated passengers on the East-West Line.

"I boarded the train around 9.30am at Jurong East MRT station on the green line train going towards Pasir Ris," said the Stomper.

"The MRT window was leaking water onto the seat."

Stomp has contacted SMRT for more info.

Last month, Stomp reported water leaking on the train on the North-East Line, but it was not rainwater.

SBS Transit told Stomp it was due to a component failure in the air-conditioning system and apologised for the inconvenience caused.
