There are plenty of variations of yusheng around but have you ever tried mala yusheng?

Employees at Premium Automobiles decided to celebrate the 15th day of the Lunar New Year with a spicy twist.

Tossing yusheng is practised throughout the festive period from the eve of the new year to the 15th day of the first Chinese lunar month and is said to bring good luck.

Stomper Darius, an employee at the company, shared photos and videos with Stomp of the yusheng the staff enjoyed during their lunch break at their office pantry on Tuesday afternoon (Feb 19).

He told Stomp that they had gone to the supermarket to get the ingredients to prepare the yusheng from scratch themselves.

The colourful dish included crab sticks, broccoli, lotus root and mushrooms among other ingredients.

One of his colleagues even prepared homemade mala sauce from home.

"It was a really fun experience," he said.

"I've never tried mala yusheng before, it's definitely something new."
