What's more dangerous than killer litter? Killer litter that you can't see.

Stomper CP was concerned to see potted plants and laundry racks placed at height on the parapet of Block 517 Bedok North Avenue 2.

Sharing photos he took on Feb 23, CP told Stomp: "I am not sure how long this has been going on, but I believe it should be quite some time already.

"The problem with this is that one is not able to see it from the ground level."

CP's feedback comes after he read Stomp's Feb 20 report about a potted plant placed precariously on a laundry rack at Block 525 Bedok North Street 3.

Aljunied-Hougang Town Council said about the earlier incident: "The town council has been educating residents on the dangers of items placed precariously on window ledges, parapet walls and laundry racks, or hung on fixtures on ceilings outside windows or beyond corridor parapet walls.

"Our educational outreach include newsletters, posters and videos which residents can view by scanning a QR code on the posters. The following is an example of our educational video: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/ASvWBgEgtQI

"We will also serve advisories when potential killer litter is spotted during routine estate or block inspections and engage the residents concerned.

"The approach to educating residents about the safety hazard posed by killer litter is constantly being looked into to step up the level of awareness.

"The town council will be engaging the owner of the unit concerned about such precarious placing of items on laundry racks."

In response to CP's concerns, Aljunied-Hougang Town Council told Stomp: "Further to what we have mentioned in our previous reply, there are cases in which items placed in a hazardous manner are not easily visible from the common areas and which require access into the units of the residents concerned.

"In such instances, we will work with the Housing & Development Board (HDB) to get the residents' cooperation in removing the items."
