M'sian police looking for driver of S'pore car who bashed another vehicle with golf club in Johor

The Malaysian police are looking for the driver of a Singapore-registered car who was involved in an altercation with another motorist on the North-South Expressway in Pagor, Johor on the first day of Chinese New Year.

A video of the incident has gone viral online.

It shows a red Mitsubishi Lancer with a Singapore number plate trying to go around a stationary black Toyoto with a Malaysian plate but was blocked by a man standing on the road who slapped the bonnet of the Mitsubishi.

The Mitsubishi driver got out with a golf club and bashed the rear windshield of the Toyota before the other man snatched the club away,

Other people alighted from both vehicles as the altercation continued.

In a statement on Feb 10, the Muar police said they were alerted to the incident at 2.36pm.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the altercation started after the Toyota blocked the Mitsubishi car from using the emergency lane.

The statement added that the police are looking for the Mitsubishi driver to assist in investigations.
