A 35-year-old motorcyclist was taken to hospital after being involved in an accident along Woodlands Drive 72 on Tuesday (July 17).

Stomper Johan was passing by the scene and told Stomp that a car had collided with the motorcyclist.

"The motorcyclist was going straight but the car suddenly came in very fast and hit him," said Johan.

"Petrol from the motorcycle had leaked onto the road and I saw Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) officers clean the mess."

In response to Stomp's media queries, an SCDF spokesman said that they were alerted to the accident at about 5pm.

"SCDF conveyed one person to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital (KTPH)," the spokesman said.

The police told Stomp that they were alerted to the accident at about 5.01pm.

"The motorcyclist, a 35-year-old man, was conscious when conveyed to KTPH," a police spokesman said.

Police investigations are ongoing.
