A man allegedly stole cash from a laundromat in Ang Mo Kio in the wee hours of April 14.

In response to a Stomp query, the police confirm that a report was lodged and investigations are ongoing.

Stomper Benn shared CCTV footage of the incident that occurred at his 24-hour laundromat at Block 532 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10 at around 3am.

Benn said: "The man was clad in a black t-shirt, black shorts, and black cap. He was also wearing a face mask and gloves.

"He seemed to have one single key with him that he used to open the coin changers in my laundromat and he seemed to know exactly what to do.

"There was no hesitation in how he inserted the key to open the coin changers and he knew how to open the case where the dollar bills were stored.

"He was in and out under a minute. I lost $1,533 in cash."

Benn said four cameras caught the incident on video, but none captured the man's face.

In the video that he shared with Stomp, the man can be seen unlocking a chest and removing a wad of cash from it. He does the same to a second chest and then pockets the money before leaving the shop.
