A man is appealing for information after he was aggressively confronted by another cyclist outside The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands on Sunday (July 23) at about 7.30 to 7.45pm.

The Stomper shared with Stomp a video of the encounter that was recorded inside Bread Street Kitchen.

"As I was cycling, I overtook a cyclist (the man in blue) leading to dissatisfaction," he said.

"He caught up with me and confronted me with a series of offensive language and aggressive actions, including kicking my bike and wheels repeatedly.

"Throughout the encounter, he kept telling me how to cycle and challenged me to involve the police and record the incident.

"Thankfully, the MBS staff intervened to de-escalate the situation and a kind member of the public offered her assistance, capturing the incident on video as potential evidence.

"Grateful for her help, I promptly contacted the police but by the time they arrived, the individual had left the area, cycling towards the Merlion and later turning towards the direction of Marina Barrage."

The Stomper is looking to identify the man who he believes was riding a hybrid bike.

"After providing my statement to the police, they departed and I proceeded to cycle home, hoping this would be the end of the matter," he said.

"However, I believe it is essential to identify the individual responsible for the safety and well-being of fellow cyclists.

"If you witnessed this incident or can identify the individual involved, I kindly request your assistance.

"Rest assured that any information provided will be treated with the utmost confidentiality and solely used to cooperate with the police investigation.

"Together, let's ensure that this individual does not get another opportunity to harm or harass other cyclists who may inadvertently overtake him.

"Your cooperation in identifying this person is immensely appreciated.

"Thank you for your understanding and support in creating a safer environment for all cyclists."
