A 57-year-old man was arrested after throwing household items and cans of paint from his fourth-storey Housing Board flat yesterday (Feb 18).

Stomper Kar Tin shared videos of the incident with Stomp where the man can be seen throwing items out of his window.

"White paint splashed onto cars in the carpark from the flat above," he said.

In response to Stomp's media queries, a police spokesman said they were alerted to the incident at 10.20am.

"A man was reported to be throwing items and cans of paint from his residential unit," he said.

"The 57-year-old man was arrested for rash act and under the mental health act."

No injuries were reported.

Kar Tin also shared a video where Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) officers had set up a life pack.

Stomp understands that the man threatened to jump.

An SCDF spokesman told Stomp that it received a call for assistance at about 10.55am and set up two life packs and deployed a rescue net in the operation.

Police investigations are ongoing.
